_Physiological effects of ozone therapy:-
A-In activation of action of micro organisms….as it destruct outer shell layer of them and oxidate its lipoproteins & Phospho lipid after penetration of cell membrane ….then enter nucleus and alter the DNA…so inactivate them…then they are excreted by phagocytosis.
B-Improve circulation..When waste materials accumulate on walls of vessels so:
-Single active oxygen atom oxidize these materials.
-also stimulate the secretion of vasodilators
-And increase flexibility of RBCS and decrease of there diameter so decrease blood viscosity….so increase blood flow and oxygen supply.
C-stimulate immunity system.(Increase leucocytes).
D-Desolution of malignant tumor…AS it inhibits the activity of anaerobic cells and dissolve its outer fatty layer..and there for stop its metabolism…and it stimulates O2 aerobic metabolism.
E-Formation of Preoxides (single active oxygen atoms)
O3________ O2 + O1
Theraputic effect :-
A-stimulation of immune system.
B-Increase leucocytes (WBCS)
C-Inhibition of fungi , bacteria ,viruses and micro organisms.
D-Improve delivary of O2.
E-Stimulates Krebs cycle.
F-Wash arteries and veins from waste materials.
G-Increase efficiency of peroxides.
H-Prevent stroke formation by its oxidation.
I-Prevent arrhythmia
J-Improve brain function
K-Improve brain function.
L-Prevent degenerative diseases.
Indications:-
A-Hypoxia.
B-Atherosclerosis.
C-Cardiovascular disorders.
D-Cerebrovascular disorders.
E-Prephiral vascular diseases.
F-Infectious diseases.
G-All degenerative arthritis by removal of lactic acid and wastes.
H-Cancer
I-AIDS
Contra indications:-
A-Hemorrhage.
B-Pregnancy.
C-Allergic to ozone.
D-Acute cardiac dysfunction.
E-Hyper thyroidism.
F-Alcoholism.
G-Acute angina.
Ozone concentration:-
-It means how much Ozone (ug) in 1 milliliter of Oxygen.Where 1 milliliter of oxygen =1.4mg
-
Theraputic concentration
five to 100 microgram per milliliter
-
Eg : 5% of Ozone means
5*1.4=7ug/ml
means seven (ug ) of ozone in 1.4 ml of oxygen.
-
Low concentration of ozone:40 ug/ml
And important for stimulation of immune system and healing process.
-
High concentration of ozone:100 ug/ml
And important as disinfectant .
Role of administration:-
A-Direct administration in blood:-
-Invasive
-Injection either ( IV-IA-IM-sub cutaneous)
-Insulffation: Introduction of ozone to internal organs through either regular path ways as : (Rectal-Uretheral-Vaginal-Uterine)
Or through irregular path way as Ears by ear piece
-Auto chemo therapy :To take blood and mix it with heparine to avoid agglutination and ozone then reintroduce it to blood.
B-Indirect method Through dermal layer:-
-Non invasive so is the main used in physiotherapy
-Trans dermal: skin pores…and better after heat application to widen the pores.
Examples: -Sub atmospheric (To introduce ozone and decrease pressure gradually).
-Bagging….Cupping…both are important in healing.
-suna
-Olive oil: to add both to each other and boil till gell material results or cream .
-Drinking
-Inhalation of steam of boiling ozone and olive.
